The Science of Mind

I bit the bullet and registered for the Science of Mind Foundations class at the San Francisco Spiritual Enrichment Center over on Hayes Street. I say “bit the bullet” only because I am so prone to not finishing what I start and therefore don’t usually make any kind of serious commitment to anything. But I really want to complete this and so far so good. It’s a ten week course and I’ve managed to successfully complete the first two weeks. It doesn’t sound like much but to me it’s a crucial step. The more I find out about the things I will be required to do, the more jittery I get about sticking to my plan. Ge’ez! Speak in front of people and give a presentation? I know I can do it. What? Me Worry?

A Course In Miracles

Well, we’re four days into the new year and I am once again beginning The Course from day one. I made it to about eighteen the first time I got into it but I’m sure I can do a better job this time. If anyone out there has any experience with this I’d love you input!

Dr. Hawkins Again…

I didn’t realize that the good doctor is all over YouTube. He’s quite the character. When he was in his early twenties he made a prediction about how China would become very powerful. He’s now 83.

Dr. David Hawkins

My friend Kevin (aka “Z”) gave me a couple of series of audio books by the gentleman noted above. I can’t thank Kevin enough! Dr. Hawkins has put into words a lot of my thoughts that I am not yet quite gifted enough to put into a book. Maybe someday, but for now they are conveniently stored on my laptop. They are: “Healing”, a collection of 7 discs and “The Highest Level of Enlightenment” also 7 discs. Dr. Hawkins has a knack for making spiritual progress a simple matter. Simple, that is, if you are already on your way. One who has never given spirituality a passing thought may get completely lost…but maybe not. He has a fine sense of humor and can make one think, “Why haven’t I thought of that?”

Hello world!

MrBluster here! I’m new to this here blogging thing but it sounds like a good idea. I like to put my thoughts down somewhere every now and again because every now and again I come up with something pretty good. I think. I’m not real crazy about that Twitter thing. Can’t put any real thought into it. Are there any meaningful thoughts that one could convey in 140 characters? I suppose there are in the form of aphorisms and metaphors and if I think of any I’ll be sure to ‘tweet’ them. And if they’re really good, they’ll be right here too. Kinda like “Be Here Now”. How cosmic!
